Thank a honey bee!
Thank a honey bee!

The Ag Hall of Fame has recently unveiled its newest exhibit, The World’s Smallest Farmers.

There are more than 25,000 species of bees in the world, but none affect our food supply more than the honey bee. Honey bees are responsible for pollinating many of the foods that we love, including some fruits, nuts, and vegetables. It is estimated that honey bee pollination adds an amazing $15 billion to the value of crops in this country every year. Honey bees might not be around forever, however. Recently, a mysterious disorder has led to fewer and fewer honey bees, but why should you care?

Come visit the Ag Hall to find out how important honey bees are and what might happen if the honey bee completely vanished.
